Broken CD player in car

Help/Advice needed. Got a 6 CD Changer in my car, from the noises it is making it sounds like one of the CDs has got stuck inside.

To be honest I've been looking for an excuse to change it for something a bit more advanced that can hook up to and control my iPod, any suggestions?

One problem is that it's not the usual CD player shaped hole that would be left if I took the 6 CD changer out, it's a fair bit bigger.

Go to halfords or other car accesory shops, they have surrounds for different models of car / stereo sizes.

Thanks for the tip re: surrounds. Anyone on here know a quality in-car CD/MP3/iPod player at a good price?

I'm sure there are plenty of car geeks on here, no? Someone help me out. On further searching, it would appear my car would fit "double-din" players.
