I cannot remember, but is there a reason why we wqent to Gillingham and not the Broadfield in the years of exile?

Crawley Town didn't want us. Well actually, the council wouldn't allow extra games to be played there. Part of the agreement in the planning application.

Not the whole story, of course.

We went to Gillingham because the scumbags Archer and Bellotti did a deal with scumbag Scally.

On the day that the deal was done, I was involved in organising a local government conference in Eastbourne. Bellotti was there and was suddenly summoned to a meeting with Archer and Scally. He had the nerve to ask me to call him a taxi to get him to the station. Which I did - mainly to get the little shit out of town.
