its bollocks, now i would love to see it in london but would it be free or would you have to pay it would be like monaco.

Do be silly. Of course you'd have to pay. Have you seen how much it costs to go to a GP? I considered going to the American GP this year until I saw the price. It was more expensive even than the Indy 500.

Have to agree. I never quite got the attraction of oval racing. I guess it's the American love of high speed over skillful driving (on an oval they rarely need to break). Just like the love of high scoring games (like American Football and Basketball).
I did go watch a practice session for the Indy 500 though since my parents were visiting and it was only $5.

Exactly. The number one reason for watching motor sports.
There's a great episode of the Simpsons (IIRC it's the one where Maud Flanders dies) where the crowd gets excited when a car flips over then groans when it lands back on all four wheels and carries on.

I guess oval racing is better than drag racing. All that build up for 10 seconds of furious action.....I think my wife could relate to that ;)

Good, Silverstone is a dump.
I hope this gives London a chance of hosting it, that would be truly marvellous.

Silverstone is no more a dump facility wise than Spa or monza or interlagos Brazil .. Its just becuase those respective governments bow to the demands of Bernies ransom . Bernie dont care where the advertising money comes from ..its just so thats its mainly from Tobacco . If say computer co's put the dosh up then it would be fine .. At the end of the day >it will be the asian and 3rd world countries who will end up giving bernie he's money
