I think the club is generally very good at doing its big transfer business below the radar, especially to keep rivals off the scent. Ok Gus is a bit guilty of raising everyone's expectations with his '3 signings planned' or the 'gem' type statements. Of course this is quite handy to ensure that STs sell out.

I suspect that Tony Bloom's poker playing skills are a handy attribute when it comes to playing cards close to our chest about transfer deals.

Ok sometimes a rumour subsequently proves to be correct but I often wonder if thats because the players agent has been quietly putting the word out to try and create a bidding war.

Personally I don't mind the anticipation, especially with how things have gone so far this close season and try not to get too excited until the Club announces timings of press conferences.
