I can't see Heskey as being spectacular or a gem. At 34 and with a pretty poor scoring record in recent years, the best you can say is that he's free and "could do a job" for one season. We would still have 4 million in the kitty. I think Heskey, a bit of dosh on McCann, and a lot of dosh on someone else.

i think i would be slightly underwhelmed but encouraged by how he is preferred by all the strike partners he has played with. but still worried that he could be an expensive waste of space. he splits opinions including mine!

As other have said already, Rhodes is a risk and a big one especially for 5 mill, we paid 2.5 for league 1's runaway best scorer and he hasnt really hit those heights in the NPC, to now spend 5 mill on Rhodes another spectacular L1 scorer with no championship experience??
would really sooner get a proven Prem, NPC goalscorer, i actually hope it isnt rhodes for 5 million
