Henderson 7 - not at fault for any of the goals, spilt one cross though that..
Reid - 7 - made a superb recovery from on the goal on, surely that went over the line though? Good going forward, not so great defensively.
El-Abd - 6 - shakey, sent off (couldnt see why) - fairly good in the air but poor passing.
Lynch - 5 - not the player he's been in recent games, with poor passing and a fair few missed tackles.
Mayo - 4 - All over the shop, both going forward and defending - skinned for the goal
Carpenter 7 - not a bad game, but a lot of passing backwards even when chasing the game. Kept the ball though and made some good challenges.
Hammond - 4 - Dire first touch, lethargic performance. Being too slow in this league is a concern.
Stoakes - 7.5- more clever passing and good running. Needs to shoot.
Robinson - 8.5 - mom. Lots of running, a goal, and generally caused problems. Subbed bizarrely.
Hart - 7.5 - Good defensively, created a few openings going forward, but better on the wing.
Revell - 6 - missed a couple of good chances, didn't seem to be getting into the box quick enough.

Cox - 6- good running, poor passing.
Frutos - didn't do alot to be honest.
Santos - bought on up front, moved back to defence after the red card. Odd moves, given that we needed a goal.

Henderson 7,
Made a good save near down and got a small touch on the penalty which was right in the corner. He got a bit angry with one of there players though after he was fouled and the forest supporters booed him most of the match

Mayo 6,
Not got a very good memory but from what I remember he did okish but was done quite a few times.

El-Abd 6.5,
Actually was a very solid centre back and would get a higher rating except he got sent off and gave away the penalty

Lynch 6,
Not as good as he usually is as El-abd but had a reasonable game

Reid 7,
Cleared a great shot off the line and was generally solid, made some good passes down the line

Hammond 6.5,
I thought in the first half performed very well although in the second he was absolutly lazy, had a very good chance near the end to cross the ball in but sort of jogged to it and it went out

MOM: Carpenter 7,
Some good passes but should have sent one of our players clear in one instance but didnt see him. Also made some pretty good tackles

Stokes 6.5,
An alright performance didnt stand out really

Hart 6,
Dissapointing and at times it seemed he was disapointed with himself aswell. Although he did well getting the ball his crosses were poor mostly straight to the keeper.

Revell 6.5,
Was very lively and sent in a good cross for robinson to score although he always seemed to go for the shot when there were other options on. Also took to long shooting when it was pretty much a one on one and they managed to block it

Robinson 6.5,
Another player that dindt really stand out. His scored from a well timed run but it was just a tap in.

SUBS:

Cox 7,
Some great speedy runs from the middle but didnt have the final product. Brought some fresh speed to the team

Frutos 6,
Cant judge him very well as he didnt get the ball that much, seemed to just play the simple ball when he did get it though

Santos
-
Came on at 90

Mcghee
6.5,
Did well bringing cox on but should have subbed hammond as he was obviosly very tired

MM reacted very strangely when asked a question about Robinson. It was something along the lines of "was it good to see Robinson score a tap in" and he said "no one's talking about Jake Robinson" or something?? Most odd.

Henderson 6 : Should have been punished for spilling the ball when Reid cleared off the line.
Reid 8 : MOM : Best goal line clearance I have ever seen. Great at bringing the ball out of defence.
El Abd : 5.5 : Unlucky with the pen (Lester is a dirty diving cheat). One stupid booking he will regret.
Lynch : 4: Awful today - must be expected at his age.
Mayo 6 : Much improved from last week - Shame the 2nd goal came from his side when he was pushing up to help fruity.
Stokes 5.5 : Quiet
Hammond 5 : Bit slow at times, always passes the easy ball which can slow us down when we break.
Chippy 7 : Pick of the central midfielders.
Robinson 7.5 : Bright and dangerous although morgan had sussed him out.
Revell 7 : Knackered in the 2nd half but got 2nd wind. So unlucky at the end.
Hart 7.5 : Worked his bollocks off.

Cox 7 : Looked good again.

I thoiught Henderson was fouled when he spilled that ball and other than a great stop off the line Reid did little more than fall over allafternoon. None of the back 4 looked comfortable coming out of defence with the ball.

Hendreson 6 ok game did what was asked and not at fault with the goals
Reid6 : : good goal line clearance
El Abd :6 : did ok - penalty looked harsh
Lynch : 4: is the hype going to his head?
Mayo 6 : Much improved from last week - Shame the 2nd goal came from his side when he was pushing up to help fruity.
Stokes 7 :played aan Oatway role well - suprised he was taken off
Hammond 5 :slow
Chippy 5 : lacking confidence
Robinson 7 : did well - needs to anticipate more
Revell 9 : he chases everything and will be a gem
Hart 8 : Worked his bollocks off.

Cox 8 ran at Forest and scared them
Frutos 4 he lacks confidence and left Mayo exposed - lost the ball too often - get rid

And Smith Did Score!
Was my first game of the season, so not sure what standards are normally expected or reached by individuals so far... but on yesterdays performances...

Henderson 7
Was a bit lucky to get away with retalliation after a nasty challenge early on.. From where I was looked like he raised his hands and I've seen some refs send people off for less. Otherwise a good solid performance.

Mayo 5
He got caught a few times and Forest had more success down his flank that down the left against Paul Reid. But Kerry didn't deserve the amount of flak he's been getting on here.

El-Abd 7
Was solid for most of the game. Jumped into a tackle and let his man go allowing 2 at the far post for the second goal.

Lynch 6
Disappointing for me given all the very good things people had been saying in recent weeks. Hope it was a one-off.

Reid 8
Worked tirelessly. Good shift. Was a little lucky not to have been in more trouble for a shocking tackle early on.

Hammond 5
Looked unfit and should have been subbed rather than the 3 who went off.

Carpenter 7
Still a good head on him and a solid performance. Would like him to try to shoot more often from the edge of the box, but that might be down to tactics.

Stokes 7
Impressed me and I couldn't understand why McGhee too him off.

Hart 7
Never lets us down with his tireless performances and putting himself about.

Revell 6
Fair performance but lacks pace.

Robinson 7
Looked quite lively and again couldn't work out why he was taken off.

SUBS:

Cox 5
Too lightweight and must play to his strengths and run at defenders more.

Frutos 4
Replaced Stokes but was anonymous.

Santos - looked very clumsy in defence - but was only on for a few mins.

Good BHAlba day out despite the score.
Thanks to GT for driving 5 hours each way. Top man.

I thought Frutos was truly awful during the short time he was on. Did absolutely nothing worthwhile.

Henderson 7 - must be the worst feeling of any goalie, had next to no work to do yet still on losing side.

Reid 7 - he plays a vital role as an overlapping full-back making extra numbers for our midfield, goal-line save of the season, shame it was in vain

El-Abd - 7 - football is a bizarre and cruel game, concedes penalty and gets sent off. Yet I thought in many ways he had a good game. Showed fantastic confidence taking the ball out of defence and was frequently mopping up the mistakes of his central defensive partner. I think it was a penalty though alas, but I could barely remember what he did for his yellows, they were so innocuous. I think El Abd is a talent but you just wonder if has the aerial authority to really nail down the place of centre-back.

Lynch - 5 - hard to imagine any player playing worse in the stripes for the rest of this season than he did in the first half. Constantly giving the ball away and missing headers. To blame for the mix-up that Reid had to save. Did improve after the 2nd half with some very good tackles but still showed no real authority as Forest stepped up the pressure. Needs an old head alongside him to kick on now, whether that's Butters or Santos, we'll see.

Mayo - 6.5 - Got forward well and it was his deep cross that forced the error from the Forest keeper. Was up against their best player Southall and generally did OK against him.

Carpenter 8 - Back to his very best, ran our midfield superbly and was at the heart of everything we did. The only question mark you would have, would be his legs lasting for the entire 90mins but alas until Oatway is back we have no one with his midfield authority to sub him with.

Hammond - 7 - Best game for a while, far more involved in our play than previous games, did his usual excellent tackling stint.

Stokes - 5 - Very below par, not involved at all, showed his inexperience. Rightly subbed.

Robinson - 6 - Some pleasing touches now and then but also not as influential as previous games, not his usual workrate, again rightly subbed for the busier Cox.

Hart 6 - Workmanlike effort from the veteran without ever winning his battles with the Forest defenders and particularly Mr Cullip who seemed to spend all game patting OGH on the head.

Revell 8 Another fine shift from him, always busy finding work, making good lay-offs. It was his chasing of a lost cause that gave us the goal, it's in Robinson's name but it is Revell's goal.

Cox 7 - For me, his break into the first team has been the revelation of the season so far, there is not a player in our squad who looks as comfortable and energetic on the ball. Made a few inaccurate passes but his tiring colleagues were also not making the runs for them. Would have been a fairytale and justice for the Albion if he'd got it back to 2-2, bit great save from the Forest keeper. Fascinating switch to central midfield late on, could he be the attacking playmaker we've looked for for so long?

Frutos 6 - same old Frutie, ran around without too much threat but as keen as ever.

Santos - I think we will be seeing a bit more of him now given the shambolic naivity and lack of physical presence shown by our central defenders.

LI, can I just ask when have you ever heard someone refer to playing in a football match as a shift?
