The last two managers waited to be snapped up...they thought do a good job and then I'm off. Taylor waited for the phone to ring....and Copplell delayed signing his 1 year contract in case his phone rang. Both have made the wrong move.

Next . . .:shootself

Taylor was a w*nker with this always as his agenda (as he did at Gillingham) take up an already established side and :censored: off.

:dunce: :dunce: Coppell is a different story :dunce: :dunce: if he thinks Reading will offer him anything long term then he's very much mistaken :shootself

Come of Johnny Prescott do the right thing... then we can leave this archole era behind us and show 'em all :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

He's doing alright at Hull now, though.

Taylor was a good manager who did a good job for us. Hull are getting crowds of 21,000+ and have a fab stadium (in Prescott's back yard). To be fair, they have ambition and are probably capable of reaching the first div in successive seasons, like we did. Good luck to the guy.

Reading, however, does not have the support or potential of Hull. If Coppell had held on, he could have been offered the Charlton job (which will come up soon when Curbs goes to Spurs). This is a short-sighted decision. I hope they struggle like hell for the rest of the season and have an appaling run of injuries. In addition, I hope their players are implicated in the 'rape' case and that the stadium is burnt down !!

...and the town is visited by seven plagues of doom, don't forget.

Blood raining from the skies, no sunshine for months, locusts, pestilence and lots of other biblical happenings.

Until we get Falmer managers will use us as a stepping stone only, and don't kid yourself that Micky wasn't doing the same. So what though, it's earned us two championships and some good signing to watch. Ultimately if the manager does well it means the club does well also. DK will get another good man in and the cycle will continue.

Exactly - frustrating as it is, I'd rather we were a 'stepping stone' that keeps winning divisions than keep plodding along in mid-table with the same manager year in, year out. If/when Coppel goes this will be the 4th manager that Dick has appointed that left BECAUSE they did a good job for us. If we had a manager no-one wants it would be because we weren't doing very well. If the trend continues, Dick will appoint another decent manager, resurrect/make his career and when the so-called bigger clubs come calling again in a year or so our new man can say 'why leave Brighton when Falmer stadium is already under construction?'

Well, here's hoping...
