Rami back after 2 year of no fotboll - in Brighton

The last game he played at Old Trafford infront of 68 000 ppl. Two years and two months later Rami Shaaban is back - in brighton.

There was an embargo on the news because McGhee did not want Sunderland to know until shortly before kick-off

I got the distinct impression that, for the first 75 minutes, Sunderland still hadn't worked it out. Hardly any of their players were showing any interest in even getting into our penalty area to have a look at who we had in goal.

Freddie was a big support

Rami Shaaban about the hard times.

When Shaaban had his lowest period in life he got help from his best friend Fredrik Ljungberg
- He was their and was very important to me says Shaaban to Sportbladet.

Rami and Fredrik got to know eachother when they played togheter in Arsenal. Shaaban broked his bone on a training in december 2002. When his contract did end with Arsenal in june 2004 he got to look for another club.

Recently he did find one - Brighton in Championship League, one division below Premier League.

Will sign this week
Last week he did play his first game for 24 months. And it did go well.
- It seemes like I will sign a contract this week that will be for the season, says Shaaban that still got his appartment in London in the same area as Freddie.

They have keep contact all time when Shaaban is in London.
- He was a good suport when I had a hard time. He is easy to talk with and it´s good to have a Swede near by. We usaly go and drink coffee with Pires and his friends from France.

Getting help with flat.
Do u have any privacy when u two are going out?
- in most cases. We usaly go to places where it´s quiet. But sometimes their is papparazis and waiting on you when u go out. It´s not a big deal says shaaban that also getting help from Freddie with getting a flat.
- He got a big contact network . He is helping me out looking for a flat in Brighton.

Rami will today watch the goal in the meeting with Millwall.
