Did I get it wrong in thinking that when punk burst on the scene that it was a f*** you stance against the pyscheldic oveproduced Yes, Pink Floyd hippy music of the day. It was back to basics simple music for YOUNG people. How many of you punk fans are young ???? Hasn't punk had it's day? Surely being young, poor and angry was the reason for punk or have I missed something whilst addling my brain listening to Pink Floyd :p

Yes Ritchie!

Icy, my old man brought me up on Punk & Bruce Springsteen, over the years I learned about the "New Wave" Punk coming out of Southern California and have since been addicted to all sorts of Punk genres, Emo, Hardcore, Skate, Rock Punk and stuff like it.

Crabtree,

Dropkicks well worth seeing. Saw them down the Concorde a couple of years ago. Excellent live show.

Noted they are playing some big venues this time round a la Brixton Academy and Rock City so pretty good that their playing the Concorde again

I used to like Dropkicks too ('For Boston' is a great song - especially when you hear it in Boston, Lincolnshire, where the punks have made it their theme song)
but I must say I went off them when they threw Anti Flag off their tour for being 'un-American' (Anti Flag are great - 'Underground Network' is a fine album)
I'll be at the Lars gig, can blag in at the Concorde, so no sweat!

Punk rock is for everyone, got nothing to do with age (ask Charlie Harper!)

Anti Flag are bloody fantastic, saw them at Decon last year and they were bloody good Live.
why must we riot? why must we protest? just to be heard, in this world...
