Brighton Pavilion - How are you voting

Got an election leaflet through the door this morning from the Lib Dem bloke running for Brighton Pavilion. Judging by his party's big fat NUL POINT in this poll, I'd sort of assumed they weren't bothering to contest the seat.

Consider how the Greens won Pavilion in the first place. It took years. And this was because of views such as yours.

If voting with a clear head of views, rather than one besieged with thoughts of political consequences, brings about the wrong government, then so be it.

If enough people do it for long enough there will be more Caroline Lucas's... or Niger Farage's- whatever takes your fancy. There will just be more of the people folk actually want to represent them.

I've been out canvassing for the Greens since February and never tell Tories they should vote Green to keep Labour out which may be politically naive but means that I can sleep at nights. What we need is a form of proportional representation so that no-one's vote is wasted. Fat chance if Labour and Tories remain the biggest parties but if this election results in smaller parties holding the balance of power it may force a rethink. I can dream.

When there's not a lot to choose between the two main parties, I agree with you. But if you think it's a big deal between the two main parties, I don't think it's stupid at all.
