I've just registered and have told a big Porkie. They asked roughly how long it would take to finish and didn't want to be last out of the blocks so said I'd finish in about 4 hours. Never ran a Marathon in my life. Got to start training tomorrow.

Welcome to the team FS! I've not run one either, my finishing time is 'Tuesday'.

When logging in to the active website it says my registration ID isn't recognised? Anyone else had this problem? My registration is confirmed according to emails etc from GOSH who are the charity im running for. Does this stop me from joining team NSC?

I wouldn't have thought so. The teams can be informal as opposed to the formal charity spots. I think, anyway.

Oh good, perhaps I'm just doing it wrong. I will have another go and see if it lets me join

Edit: Still not recognising my number. When I open that link it says 'no events found' and there's a box on the right to enter registration number. Is this where I should be putting the 8(?) digit number or am I being stupid (most likely)

I've been logging in using my email address, have you tried that?

I have now. :)

I am in.

Hooray :clap2:

I, meanwhile, have taken my first steps towards a you-style injury. Bought a bike, just been out for my first ride, and have just sworn at my first pedestrian for leaping out in front of me

Stop polluting this thread with your cycle geekery. There's a thread for that too you know!

The bike is to get me super fit so I can drag my sorry ass running again.

Don't worry, they use your finishing estimate to work out your start pen. You'll probably be in the red one (first of the non-elites) with a 4 hr estimate.
