Pedro’s probably going in the summer but I don’t see why that should affect tonight. If this was during a transfer window it would make sense for him to be awkward and not play etc. As it’s not there may be an alternative explanation to him downing tools. Of course it’s possible he was told he was starting on the bench and he’s having a sulk but he’s not done anything like that before.
Do you really think players are that egotistical? I’d be totally fine about being on the bench now and again if I was earning the big bucks lol. Seasons almost over, why should it matter to him?!

Have come down with COVID this week so haven't been able to make it tonight and came on to say the same thing 🤬
The funny thing is, 3 or 4 years ago they’d have got nowhere the title with their points tally and they’d be getting slated for having a poor season lol.

I think they could be in for a shock next season if the other teams step up their game again.

Stats be damned, he has failed the eye test since around the turn of the year. It's a shame, because there is clearly a player in there
I think there were interested clubs last summer and we wanted JP to stay another year.
I expect there was probably further interest in January and we didn’t allow him to leave. Keeping JP engaged has been quite a challenge this season. Fab has tried different tactics including making him captain. I expect that the red card versus Brentford was the final straw and with two games to go a pragmatic decision has been made between club and player to leave him out. ( certainly Welbeck’s reaction post Brentford was one of not being happy with everyone in the team).
Hopefully we get a good price for him and he can leave with our best wishes.
( all just my opinion and not in the know in any way. Just thoughts on body language and other player reactions).

On the other hand if he's aware of an offer that will triple his wages and guarantees that for several years does he want to risk getting an injury and spending next season rehabbing on current wages and leaving a season later on a lesser contract?

Yeah some players are really arrogant! I think it can help them be the player they are. I’m now saying he is because I don’t know him but he has a swagger about him that hardly suggests he’s a retiring wallflower. I don‘t want him to leave but think he’s going to Anfield because he is that good. Fortunately we will still have Georginio because we need a maverick or two who can dribble and cause mayhem in and around the opposition’s box.

Top half of the table in general has become a lot more competitive; hence the points are more evenly spread. We could end the season on 61 points and still be 4 off of 7th.
