Did we really expect anything else from Mick Mediocre McCarthy? He doesn't want to win, but he doesn't want to lose! We have to be able to break down shit teams like this if we want to gain promotion. March is our new Kaz. He's an impact player. Leave him on the bench and let him do his thing later on if we need it. He's not a starter yet. Benefits is a great penalty taker, but we should be starting with Murray. What's the point of paying all that money for him to leave him on the bench.
We haven't lost, but we dropped 2 points on the chasing pack, and made seed an opportunity to go ahead of Newcastle, so it's nearly as bad as a loss.
It wasn't that long ago that we were top with 11 points ahead of third place. Now we are second and only 4 points clear. Will people stop talking about automatic promotion. We have a long long way to go!

With no budget at all, Ipswich had plenty of attempts on goal according to stats, despite being away at promotion second favourites.

Seriously?
If we are serious promotion candidates, we need to put away mid table teams and not struggle to beat them.
We were ineffective tonight.

If we are auto promotion candidate we need to finish in first or second spot...... where we are now in fact,by two clear points!!

Buckle down people, this is gonna get bumpy! We don't do boring, you all know that!

This. Never easy being a Brighton fan. Would be nice if it was all buttoned up for automatic promotion with a few weeks to spare, but it will go down to the wire like it always does

Hudds and Reading both will lose plenty of games yet.

I can't help but remember Reading's awesome run-in some seasons back. Huddersfield could be doing that right now, in which case we have to get in ahead of Newcastle.

The 25th and 28th double whammy is now massive. It is still very much in our own hands.

Was Solly's a pen? He should have passed it but I was too far from it to see whether it was a foul.

Don't think so, slipped

No. When chasing teams catch up they often (not always, I admit) run out of steam.

We were the relentless chasers (Huddersfield this year) last year, and the teams we were chasing didn't crack, and we didn't go up. Your generalisation just doesn't hold water - the chasers don't always win. It's just as valid to say that points in the bag are the best thing to have (like being 4 points ahead with a game in hand over some of the chasing pack) - that is sometimes the case too. There just is no one scenario fits all.

I have witnessed two miracles at the Amex this season. Ipswich and Cardiff physios are wasted at football club they should work in a cancer unit to cure people.

That's basically what I was trying to say .....and yes, there's no one scenario that fits all, if there was we wouldn't have message boards....so we are in agreement:albion2:
