I've found that I have followed people who I have no recollection of following. I don't know if it is a glitch, or something more malicious, but I have found myself following people who have been retweeted by people I have actually chosen to follow. There were a couple of brighton fans I somehow started following (either through NSC or OfficialBHAFC). I would guess something similar has happened.

Something went tits up with my account this week. Not only did it start sending out spam tweets but overnight I noticed I was following about 300 more accounts than previously. Mostly Albion or football related but some corporate ones too.

Must have clicked on some shoddy link or something. So maybe that's what's happened to the Albion account.

Or maybe those ladies of the night are ST holders & big fans. Who knows?

I don't let other apps access my twitter account. I wonder if I sometimes accidentally followed them as I scroll down my time line. It hasn't ever been anything malicious, just mendoza and seagullsong added to follow list.

I think I've inadvertently clicked moody links when the page has been loading slowly- just as I think I've clicked something legitimate, the page shuffles up & I end up clicking something else. Only explanation I can find for the spam & follow overload as normally I'm pretty cautious about any links.
