Brighton Fans in Reading Talks

Brighton have confirmed that their fans have held talks with Reading about their vacant seats in the Madejski.

The Royals are seeking new fans take up seats in the much lauded, but unpronounceable stadium.

Reading have lost four of their last five league games and have not managed sell out crowds at home. Brighton, second place in the Division Two table, maintain a healthy following and it is hoped the Seagulls fans can bring the same quality support and atmosphere at Withdean to the Madejski.

A statement on Brighton's official website read: "We can confirm that our fans yesterday (Wednesday) had talks with Reading Football Club regarding the vacant seats at the Madejski Stadium.

"However, Albion chairman Dick Knight is doing everything within his power to persuade the fans that their future lies with the Seagulls."

One fan was quoted as saying "We've got a few options, there are a lot of clubs, but if our Chairman retains the current manager I don't see any reason why we'd take up seats elsewhere."

Given the money and the go ahead for Falmer would DK call the stadium the Knight Stadium? I think not but Mr Ego who goes mental because his manager was poached has built his team and now gets his manager, in much the same way as he was bleating about only a week ago.

Moral - never trust foreigners who name stadiums after themselves.

I didnt want to say anything, but I was approached by a Reading fan last week.

I told him to go thru the proper channels and contact FG Trooper about me,and my seat at Withdean

Likewise, I also insisted he go through the proper channels, but he said ok and asked me to meet him in a cubicle in the public lavatory at Reading station. I said at Brighton that's not the way we do business.

Need something to keep us laughing, don't we? How about we organise a squad of Albion fans with a load of lorries to dismantle the Majeski or however it's spelt and take it down to Falmer. They can then have our beloved golf gallery. Firework man is not for transfer though, though FG is.

Tempting as I live near the ground and most of our team so to be there one way or another! WHy don't they change their strip (say blue and white stripes) and name (say Brightona and Hove Albion) and it would work for me.
