Go go go see Marcel Lucont's new show. Juvenile viewers obviously loved his whole arrogant Frenchman schtick in the first place, but he's somehow expanded it and come up with a brilliant bit of storytelling now. Sure to be a lot bigger in time to come.

Josie indieboypinup Long and Russell Kane - less hidden after yomps of awards in the last year or two. Possibly La Long edges it for being more affordable, Russ is box office fare these days.

Stephen Grant and Seann Walsh - go local, but both exceptionally talented chaps in their own right. Kapow

Seann is my best mates brother, very funny guy, hard working, and very down to earth in the sense that he is always pissed outside of work !

Apparently his management put the second N in his name to make him stand out lol

I think I've droned on about this before on here, but at my first Edinburgh I saw Seann play to a cave full of teenage Scottish smackheads. He was constantly being interrupted/threatened, when he asked if anyone was from Brighton we kept our heads down for fear of getting glassed. Still the bravest performance I've ever seen.

I don't that's true, I used to be the secretary of Roundhill FC when he played and i'm sure he had two Ns then (His brother played for us once).

Seann's a good lad, but a QPR fan

So is his brother, who hates Brighton so much it makes him angry! Especially as we're on the up!

That what he told me anyway!

Enjoyed Best of the Fest last night more than the same two weeks ago. Sean Walsh was very funny IMO

Is it on now? Brighton is getting very bad at publisising events. This year's Brighton Festival was so underplayed you wouldn't have known it happened. Same with the comedy "festival" it seems.
