After SS Brighton was demolished the new Top Rank complex did include a new ice rink. However it did not include any spectator stands so was useless to stage ice hockey.
It was obviously not viable and was converted into another club or cinemas.
Post war Tigers was mainly made up of Canadian servicemen who stayed on after the war.
As mentioed previously Tigers was one of the top British teams and played in League containing Wembley Lions, Nottingham Panthers, Paisley Pirates, Harringay Racers, etc. Most of those venues also closed.

For a time Brighton Tigers were more popular than the Albion, so I have been told.

At their peak professional hockey players were shipped over from Canada to play for the Tigers and paid maybe twice as much as the average wage at the time and had a 'star status' within the town.

They travelled all over England and Scotland to play in the League and were one of the best teams in the Country.
