The British culture of throwing beer in the air and drenching own and opposing fans is also unacceptable.
Which is why our own club banned people for doing it.

This is absolutely not just a British thing. I reckon it happens most games here in Holland and I've experienced it multiple times in Germany, Belgium and Slovakia.
It also doesn't happen in British stadia, because you can't drink beer in the stand...

It happened at a World Cup viewing party in Hyde Park and everyone thinks it's a massive thing now.

People worrying about a spray of beer when your team scores do need to loosen up a little and enjoy the moment and euphoria. But also, comparing beer throwing in fan parks or the odd abroad game to coins and lighters is absolutely stupid.
