Hull boss Peter Taylor believes former club Brighton are "another Hull City in the making" ahead of this weekend's Championship encounter.

Taylor took the Seagulls to the League One title in 2002 to bounce back in style from his ill-fated time at Leicester.

It was a short-lived spell on the south-coast, however, as Hull quickly came calling to lure Taylor to the KC Stadium in May 2002.

The Tigers chief said: "I was only at Brighton for a short time but I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.

"It's a massive club and I just hope they can finally get the new stadium that their fans deserve.

"Look at the progress Hull have made as a club since moving to the KC Stadium. I hope Brighton can do something similar because they are a potential Hull City in the making."

Potential Hull City in the making - bloody cheek!

At this point in Time Hull are ahead of us by some distance. Much better crowds and a MUCH better ground. When we get Falmer we will be of similar stature to them in terms of attendance Id imagine.

Hull is the largest place in England that has never had a top flight team. to be exact

at the current time they are a bigger club than us. taylor is exactly right - if we get falmer we will be able to compete with them as we are clubs of a similar size

Something some people forget or don't maybe realise is that Hull City were (the old) Division Two regulars for many years while we were bouncing around (but not out of) Division Three. Hull is the eight largest City in England and because it's a dump (not my opinion) there's bog all else to do apart from sport and crime.

Why because two southern nonces say it is a dump. We have nice parts and not so nice parts, Just like every other major City. Just ask Dancing Ninja about our beer prices and our Chinese take aways.:drink: :shit:
