It could have been to protect Bridcutt from suspension I suppose - I just assumed it was because against an average Wednesday team Gus made a bold move to win the game by taking off one of our two more defensive midfielders for a striker. And he chose Bridcutt. Had we been able to defend a corner it could have worked.

Poyet had confirmed it was to protect him from suspension as he did not want him & Barnes banned with some big games coming up
