Great programme. Must admit, I thought the star of the show was his wife by a country mile. What an extraordinary woman, and to speak that well and clearly about some things that must have been very painful. That Clough/Revie interview was amazing. Can you imagine that now? The two most high-profile managers in the game, who absolutely hate each other, going toe to toe in the studio. Superb.

I have got some problems with the Damned United, at least the book (I haven't seen the film, but it's supposed to be a bit kinder to him). I know all the stuff about 'it's fiction', but when you do something like a book or a film, it's permanent, people will draw conclusions about the subject, and therefore you have some real responsibility to get portray people correctly. Just about everyone agrees that the book is very dark and does not capture any of Clough's humour or good points, and fiction or not I think that makes it a bad book, even if it is a good read.
