I'm going in the home end with a Brentford supporting mate tonight. Never done it before but a good excuse to tick the new ground off the list. Time will tell if that was a good decision or not!

Strangely, I don't feel too much emotion for this game. Let's hope we get the win but

Hope Bloom was able to get his seat behind the goal
its all quite intriguing really. I know he likes to sit with fans at the best of times but when it comes to Brentford away he either doesn't show up or sits behind the goal.

After the home leg last year I found myself in the directors box the day after. Apparently both chairmans were present the previous night.

Excited but then I keep thinking Toney. Not scored for ages, like Salah and Mitrovic he seems to love playing and scoring against us. I guess we’d just better score more

  • Pascal Gross has provided 11 Premier League assists in London matches; only Ryan Giggs (29), Steven Gerrard (14) and Emile Heskey (12) have more.

Statastic - not only the fact that he has 11 London matches assists but there is a stat like that available

Reading their forum, they really don't like us. Not sure why really. I find them a bit meh. They are one of the few current premier league teams that have been consistently lower down the league than the Albion during my 60 years of following football.
I reckon lots of fans don't like us... mainly because we are getting so much air time, and pundits and top coaches still seem to like us a lot

Hopeful we will get something.. i've predcited 1-1 but feels like we havent won a "tough game" away from home for ages.. (Forest away?) so we must be due one? My last trip to Brentford away, was a Cup game.. and THAT Nelson goal..

Its also clearly bollocks.

Fabregas and Lampard each registered more than ONE HUNDRED premier league assists, with Erikssen, Bergkamp and Henry close behind. All of them played more than 60% of their PL matches in London...

I can only guess that the stat is meant to read 'Assists in AWAY matches in London'. Even then it sounds far fetched.

Who should mark Toney...Dunk, Van the Man, both...😬
Nah if JPVH can mark haaland out of the game then he can handle a slightly out of form Toney. Leave Dunk free to mark Maupay.
I know he won’t but I’d love Barco to start and be marking Maupay. En petit shithouse against pequeña casa de mierda would be highly entertaining.

Our strive for Europe continues,
away at new Griffin Park*
Veltman on the scoresheet,
and Joao Pedro leaves a mark
Toney makes us nervous
before clarity restored,
As Gross turns and fires in a shot,
3-1 on the board.
*I know it is the GTech Community stadium but that didn’t fit

edit - didn’t expect Ferguson to not be in the squad. So had to re-jig
Come on Albion…
