Brentford fans walking to Hartlepool

Yellows-Online.com would like to draw your attention to the following appeal. It certainly seems like a worthwhile cause. Dave Lane [from beesotted.com the Brentford rivals site] and five other Bees fans are about to embark on a mammoth charity walk. They take up the story:

"Basically we are walking 300 miles in 12 days from Brentford to our away league game at Hartlepool. The purpose is to raise £10,000 for Heal, The Helen Rollarson Cancer Care Appeal and Bees United, the Brentford Trust. We have done really well with sponsorship so far, but are asking if fans of any other clubs would like to donate and support us in our marathon walk north. Travelodge, Harvester Restaurants and McDonalds have backed us and offered their services free along the way and we hope that the press will give the walk a decent mention over the next fortnight, especially as Brentford manager Martin Allen and the players are coming down to Griffin Park this Friday to see us off. Fans can make pledges in various ways, all of which are explained in the following text, but principally by visiting our web-site www.beeswalk.com .Thanks in advance for any help you can offer."
