The French govenment advising 30,000 dodgy breast implants be removed and will pay for them.
Contrast with our opt out government "we don't see a problem". No you wouldn't

As I understand it, the implants have been made by a French company, so they should be paying for British women who have had them, to be replaced.

So what do we say to 30,000 young women who may have been put in danger. Hard luck YOU'RE GOING TO DIE cause you made a mistake. It was your choice.

I'd say the people who had the NHS put them in should have them replaced free of charge by the NHS (although the NHS are saying there is no risk?).

All those patients who went private as part of a self paid boob job, need to look to the (now defunct) company for warranty claims, and or the French government.

Are they going to replace the implants with safe ones or leave the women with pair of fried eggs ???
:moo:

Only if they had the implant for medical reasons, otherwise they have to pay for a new pair themselves.

I had a friend who was thinking about getting a boobjob at the start of the week, this has put her right off :nono:

Who said they were going to die? No evidence whatsoever that the implants cause cancer. The company that made them should have had some sort of product insurance and that should pay for removal. In the vast majority of cases, i suspect the implants were a pure vanity thing so little sympathy if they now have to find the cost of having them removed. Sympathy though for those that have had them as part of breast reconstruction. And let's not forget, it would not be the government paying for the ops but the tax payer.

What is your problem. Most of these operations were probably private ones and if the women can raise money for the sake of vanity then perhaps if it concerns them that much perhaps they can raise the money to save their lives, not that there is any evidence that the implants are a threat to life.
