Urban dictionary happened, people invent and put up daft definitions or phrases and it becomes a real thing.

i've heard the term "breadcrumbing" but sure it was in the context of media (or other sources, politicians, managment) giving hints and subtexts leading the reader to a conclusion. maybe i invented that in my mind, maybe it was "thing" ten or more years ago i dont know.
