Brannigans are the dogs bollox of crisps

What I find interesting is that although crisp flavours often bear no resemblance in taste to the food they are attempting to taste like....

.. they have an identity of their own.

Beef flavour crisps are the prime example.

In terms of polar opposites, chicken flavour has to the furthest away from the real thing, even if they employ association mind games by sprinkling on a bit of sage and onion.

However, in some cases crisp manufacturers are ahead of the game.

I wonder whether anyone has eaten a prawn cocktail and felt terribly disappointed that it didn't taste like a packet of skips ?
