Bradford City have sacked manager Nicky Law following their 1-1 draw at Walsall.

The decision brings to end Law's reign at Valley Parade which began on January 1, 2002.

A statement on the club's website said: "The board felt they had given Nicky Law as long as they could to turn the current form around."

Bradford said they had taken the decision: "notwithstanding the pressure they had been under to take this action for the last month from supporters.

"We would like to place on record our thanks for Nicky Law's efforts during his time as manager.

"This has been a very difficult, especially durign and immediately after the administration period, hence the patience shown in giving him every chance to over the slide down the table."

The corner quietly rusting
I'm just glad it was this week and not 2 weeks ago. The consequences are too dire to contemplate!

Hmmm, aren't Palarse looking for a new manager? Could we hate him any more?

With a bit of luck Pardew will be back in his garden before the season's out as well. He's still not won a game at West Ham. Muppet. :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Having seen the reaction against him in the 2-2 draw with Chesterfield a couple of years ago, I would think it would be hard for people to hate him anymore than they already do.

Also, I hope he doesn’t go to Palace as his record at Bradford wasn’t that bad considering they were in administration and he had to ship so many players out last summer:
In charge for 88 games.
Won 23 games.
Drew 22 games.
Lost 43 games.

Alan Pardew is the Robbie Williams of football management. All his success has been gained by riding on the coat-tails of other, more talented, people. In his case, Steve Coppell (coupled with having money to spend in division 2, unlike virtually every other club except Cardiff)

West Ham will finish mid table and Pardew will be out of a job by next Summer. Meanwhile, Reading will get to the playoff final where they will lose.

Very few managers who get sacked these days find new employment at league clubs. There are loads out of work.

Here's to Nicky Law's next job.

"Would you like fries with that?"
