BP Offering Compensation

Reported on the radio this morning BP are starting to offer compenstaion to drivers who have put the wrong fuel in their cars. It was also reported that they will be re-desinging the nozzles on the pumps as there is now a bewildering array of fuels avaliable on the pumps themselves.

Putting the wrong fuel in a vehicle is the 6th most popular reason for a breakdown, which can result in an engine stripdown.

Hae any other posters had this problem. I have always looked twice before filling up, especally when I had two bikes, one of which could only take leaded fuel.

I hired a diesel van (transit) once and filled it with full fuel!! Driving ik for about 20 odd miles...but then started back firing and kangaroo jumpin!!

Kept fingers crossed and it got me home, handed in and didn't mention it but I did get away with it!!
