Well Burnley didn't like his style of play when he managed there, in fact they disliked it so much they sacked him.

As a wee aside I must say that looking at last night and today's perfomances from Fulham and the Scummers, Chris's tactics to defend first and then attack next seem very well founded.
I can see 6 teams worse than us so far this season...the bottom three look poor..the three above barely any better....

Yeah I read a comment about that on Southampton's forum. I thought the owners were mega rich? Or is there a problem with its provenance now that the govt is cracking down on dubious Russians as per the Chelsea owner?

They didn’t sack him. He resigned to re join Bournemouth as he had some family issues and still lived in Bournemouth!

Been reading more, Russian owner held to ransom by English ground owner. They are in a bit of a mess. Reminds me of some of the shenanigans with Bennett's field but worse.
