If I'm honest, I'd rather it be Southampton that slip up tomorrow then Bournemouth.

It would be quite hilarious if Us, Pompey and Bournemouth were in the Championship with Saints left floundering in League 1. Just a real shame that Pompey wouldn't be going down to join Saints.

This!

It seems as though every time seagulls have a scrappy game..let's say whenever they draw, be it 0-0 or 1-1, Bournemouth seem to throw good opportunities out of the window. Where's their South Coast Spirit?

Random and wrong. Bournemouth have been bloody difficult to shake off. Their form has been extraordinarily good. Happily tho, our form has been extraordinarily better

I am another one who cannot understand all this 'support' for Bournemouth. They really do not like us, granted, they hate Saints more but they still have a healthy dislike for us. I know they have done extremely well this season and even their own fans would admit they are exceeding expectations and hats off to them for that but I would be more than happy to see them miss out on promotion. I have never gone in for this 'South Coast love in' and for all I care they can wallow down in this division with Southampton.

Albion & England forever.

There was a time a few matches back where they actually knocked us off top spot whilst we were both playing our respective games. It was only for a few minutes but it was scary!!

Away v Bristol Rovers, in the live table at half time we were in second place. That's the only time we've been in danger of dropping from top spot at half time since we beat brentford at home (which was the first game after we topped the table).

never realised that - I guess you get so carried away on matchdays that you miss doing the maths. When I'm following a game on-line I'm usually glued to the league table as it happens

A few months ago, I hated the idea of them going up. Always regarded them as a perennial Noddy club, always up financial shit creek and always moaning about it, as well as gaining a disproportionate amount of regional news coverage thanks to their endless crises and relegation struggles.

However, I did meet a couple of cracking AFCB fans in the pub at the away match, and much as it was annoying to lose the game, I rather came round to the idea that if both we and they went up this season, it would be a GIGANTIC kick in the nuts to the SCC.

Which is a tremendous idea, when you think about it. I don't think it will happen, but it would be enormously funny if it did.

Don't really have a lot of time for Bournemouth but would rather they came up with us than SCC or Peterboro, the first for obvious reasons the 2nd as I want us to sign CMS when Peterboro fail to get promoted !!!

Never mind other teams slipping up. I think recent results have been brilliant for us. All the teams (or most of them) below us getting results, then going back to the changing rooms to see how much ground they've made up.................and oh dear, Brighton have won again!
How demoralising must that be?

Why do you want Bournemouth promoted....they are no friends of ours.

I always liked Southampton more, and this season is no different either.
Their cheating for a pen at ours still bothers me, and anyway they were not that good - we ought to have buried them well before their crap leveler courtesy of a useless linesman.

Brighton and Hove Albion
Huddersfield
Southampton via the playoffs

That would be about right

yeah he is havin a laugh and i do get to have a chuckle simply by reminding him that were top of the league and in fact dont care about bournemouth. i think thats what i dont like the most, they think everyone hates them and the reality is no one cares about them. they have a song that starts 'we hate brighton and hove albion...' i went to see a bournemouth game with him this season, and pretty much every cherry in the pub, upon realising im a brighton fan, started singing this. i just thought thats cute, you have a song about us. we dont have any about you. its the rivalry the fans i met were trying to instill over us, they need to get over themselves, of the four clubs on the south coast, theyre the ones we care least about. the south coast is ours..... my ARSE.

AFCB have done really well this season but let's face it they have overachieved. If they get promoted they will be certs to take one of the relegation places. Peterboro will sack Fergie again if they go up and then struggle, they have an idiot for a chairman. Franchise might make it but I don't think so. SCC and 'Udders will be able to hold their own in the Championship so it would be better for us if they stayed down (assuming we go up of course !)

Of course there's that dark horse from the East End who, if they got up, would also fill a relegation spot, be happy to see them promoted.

yes - that'd be good.

I seem to have developed this strange soft spot for Orient too now - thanks to Sir Russ and his band of Albion rejects. How LOVELY would it be to see them beat SCC in the play off final.
Same. I always look for their results and I'm genuinely delighted that they're doing well. Decent little club, always kept their financial affairs in order, with a decent old-fashioned chairman who just wants to do the best for his local club. There. That's something I thought I'd never write.
