If and when the Government scrap all EU laws, will the UK Clubs be able to return to the pre Bosman Judgement situation where a club could refuse to sell a player's registration even after his Contract had ended? I understand that the Judgement was made by the European Court of Justice on the basis of European Law.

In short, no and why would clubs want to?

Brexit ended the free movement of labour between the UK and EU so effectively reverses Bosman but Brexit hasn‘t had any effect in practice on the abolition of transfers fees for out of contract players, just that now, if PL wants to recruit from EU countries the players now need to qualify under the points system - the Bosman ruling was already enshrined into the transfer rules of national and international football by the time of Brexit and the PL is very unlikely to want to change it back - forcing players to stay registered to a club once they are out of contract would make the PL a very unattractive destination for foreign players. Don’t forget the original ruling made it clear that the national football associations and UEFA had to take account of Bosman when forming it’s own rules and regulations on transfers - and the FA still subject to UEFA rules.

For Brighton specifically, the other changes following Brexit will have a significant impact - Clubs now have to apply for work permits (awarded on a point system) if we want to foreign players from the EU as we do already from non-EU clubs. We are no longer able to sign anyone under 18 from the EU and are now restricted to signing 6 players a season between 18- 21. The recent changes to points system however, makes it easier for us to sign Non-EU players who previously didn’t qualify under the previous system so for us recruiting youngsters in South America, is very much easier and Brighton having such a fantastic academy will have a jump on many other clubs when it comes to developing home grown players.
