I see only 1 goal conceded (from a pen) in a game and a half of the ever impressive Rosenior at left back BG

Very much this. The automatic spots would be lovely and we are very much in the mix with matches to play against fellow contenders BUT iI'd have sold a lung for the shot of a playoff place at the start of the season and that is looking very good indeed. 9 points clear of 7th. A 3 match cushion with 13 left to play (for us) means we would need a big nosedive (that our current form suggests is unlikely) to not secure a playoff berth.

There's always a team in form. A couple of weeks ago it was Sheffield Wednesday , now it's Preston. They won't keep it up until the end of the season
