hmmm thread ruined . . . .

I have to admit to agreeing with Dwayne on this, Boker is not the right man to manage a club at this level, although he has been a superb emloyee of the club and thoroughly warrants his position.

regardless of whether you went to the last two games or not, any supporter is entitled their opinion, mine and many others I'm sure is, to Dick . . . .stop the rot, and make a suitable appointment, the sooner the better.

In Discks defence, he hasnt made a bad one yet, and given our predicament, we're not going to keep a good manager for long.

We should be bloody grateful of what we've had in the last three years, and where we are right now, by the law of averages we should probably be in Div 3 !!!

I agree Booker is not the man for the job, and did so before both last night and Bournemouth. Dowie for me.

All I was pointing out was that we were not the best team in the league before Saturday and we are not the worst team in the league now.

Apparently that is 'inane'.

ok Hinsh was a mistake, but he'd earnt his chance (perhaps not at Div1 level though!) . . . .If Dick made a mistake it was not getting rid of him sooner . . . we'd still be in Div if he had

but, to bring in managers glory hunter, quitter and VD ridden Palace reject was superb given what little we have to offer :lolol:

You clearly haven't been to any games lately have you?

Last night he was crap
On Saturday he was worse than crap
Before that he's been getting progressively worse/settled/complacent.

You are now back on ignore:wave:

Was Bob Booker actually told he was an on-trial manager ? Or is this just conjecture ("he's been handed the reins, he's definitely on trial".

I thought he might be caretaker-temporary manager while we are looking for another permanent.

Has there been an official statment to any of the above? I'm in the dark on this.

Booker can not get the job now, its blatantly obvious he hasnt got a clue tactically, doesnt know how to change it when its not going well, and clearly is unable to motivate the players.

I find it bizarre haw we can go from a decent side to utter shite in 3 games, and if we dont stop the rot we'll be in the bottom half of the table before Xmas.

And as for Rehman, he might as well f*** off back to Fulham becasue hes rubbish. One good game pants ever since.

Booker might not be the man for the job but I was annoyed at the whole team as they didn't perform again for what ever reason I don't know. It was not his fault.

Think Dick Knight has played things well enough. Booker was interested in the job this time around so whilst new faces are being interviewed he gets to take charge for a short while to see how things go. Plainly the team has shown little confidence or motivation in the last 2 away games and to be brutally honest Kuipers ensured there was no embarrasement in the LDV against lowly opposition. The blame can be shared equally but the raggedness, loss of shape and lack of leadership cannot go unaddressed.

So one question has been answered, we need a new manager, and one that will accept Bob as his assistant. We need someone who when he gives a half time team talk and change of tactics (what was needed at B'Muff and B'Ford) it will sink in. The best person for this is someone the players don't have a joke with all the time for the rest of the week.

Why gamble with the excellent position we are in and a potential return to the 1st by giving the job full time to someone with no managerial experience ?
