Your comments don't come across as respectful and full of compassion when you start by saying:
Even if there were fewer deaths than there are, it would still be understandable for it to be headline news becaue
1) it's haooened on the continent we live on
2) there are many more bombings in Bagdad, and sadly the more bombing there are in any one place, the less of a news story each bombing becomes.

Bit more to it than that me thinks.

I said that Norway is on our continent, whereas Bagdad isn't. And that there are many more bombings in Bagdad.
What's the video you linked to got to do with that?
I've seen the video of those people being shot by the helicopter before - they thought the civilians had a rocket - they got it wrong and accidentally killed innocent people. When the enemy does their best to mask themselves as civilians, and hide among civilians, it's hardly surprising that these mistakes happen.

It is a film about how war is reported and why. It goes into a bit more depth than your post. Probably shouldn't have posted it on this thread but it is an interesting film if you are interested in that sort of thing.

Not sure about your viewpoint on that video but that again is probably not a discussion for this thread. Apologies again for posting that link on this thread.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
Who in blue craziness thinks with their guts? It seems mostly right now any truths of this matter are indigestible, and even when they come to light they likely will be. I don't know what message this chap was looking to deliver with gunfire, but it will be one more than likely fed by a mania and madness i'd rather not comprehend.

Poor brunswick - the irony of every statement he makes has passed him by.

While ignorantly and arrogantly telling everyone to 'think about it', that is the only thing he hasn't done. Anyone can cut and paste some political rhetoric to fit their own ill-conceived answers, but his Common Room Politics is shambolic is the extreme.

Brunswick, Dingodan, Seagull In Exile - do us a favour. You've got it the wrong way round - look for evidence and reasoning, THEN come to a conclusion. Learn to think for yourselves, rather than relying on your couch potato-laden received knowledge. Then come back to us with some properly-researched insight, considered thought and intelligent reasoning, and stop behaving like spoilt, narrow-minded children.

So it was a " christian fundamentalist" as opposed to some of the views on here that people jumped to a " Muslim fundamentalist".

Surly, he is , as they all are a "mentalist"

the sun front page STATING AL QUAEDA DID IT WITH NO PROOF.....for those who find researching on their own a little hard. (click next if still having trouble without bbc ticker).

erm, you say "research", when you go by a pre-print mock up from 10:51pm Friday, since corrected and replaced by a completely different account. so they jumped to a conclusion, thats how tabloid papers work, they didnt print that story though did they? your theory carrys less than a gram of weight, unless you work for security agency what would you know about "mossad hallmarks", and as pointed out the target is wrong for the narrative you wish to paint.

I think you might be right there, my post was a couple of lines long.

No need to apologise for posting it as an interesting viewing for all here, it just appeared that you thought the video was evidence of my post missing the point.

There's no doubt that we are lied to by our government and our media, for varying reasons - sometimes just to keep moral up when our troups are fighting etc. But generally we have the means to see the truth, and we shouldn't confuse the lies we're told with the mass propaganda that non democratic countries are fed.

are you saying i asked the question of possible Mossad cause on a whim and with no reasoning?

i suggest you should re-read the thread from the start.

also from this site: some posters believe he was behind the anonymous Fjordman blog....

translation:
"Anders Behring Breivik, according to own data, previously driven the blog Fjordman and later for many years been a writer for the anti-Muslim and Zionist bloggers Gates of Vienna and Jihad Watch, under the pseudonym Fjordman."

Fjordman can be learned about here and here.

I cannot believe the Sun newspaper has been forgiven by someone on here so calmly for stating it was Al-Qaeda on their front page....this is where your venomous insults and personal attacks should lie.....

.....but really, on the subject of respect, a thread like this should hold no personal insults or swearing.

good going sherlock.......i was thinking it was the air conditioning going wrong or something.

i will share my thoughts amidst the swamp of group think that this thread may attract.....

Has this the hallmarks of another MOSSAD attack?

There are several reasons why Israel may want to attack Norway, firstly Norway was the country along with Spain which were the strongest in pushing for a Palestinian state. Dont forget the Oslo accord and Madrid agreement.
Spain was attacked already.
Norway too handles diplomatic relations for Iceland which has ZERO relations with Israel.
Norway is not a slave to the EU so it is harder for the Zionists (shock horror, anti semite, get him) to exercise control over Norway.
Norway is the richest country in Europe with huge savings from oil and gas.

You sir are a paranoid schizophrenia. Wanna lay off the skunk.

I've come back home.
disagree....the 9/11 official report is full of holes, and they started off shouting MUSLIM terror after 7 (seven) minutes.

Where did you get this from? I would like you to show me where any of the intelligence agencies stated it was Islamic related 7 minutes after the first attack?

had quick look and cannot find it - but remember clearly that within minutes some MSM channels were already blaming islamic groups in unison on 9/11.

going back to the thread, i do find it strange and hard to comprehend that one gunman can kill 87 people, that is an outrageous number for one man to kill with just one handgun.......and that he set off a bomb miles away minutes before.

brunswick You claim people will blame Al-Qaeda, you blame Israel. Whats the difference? Everyone has their theories. Oh and you were wrong. Plus you were taking news reports from other news agencies as gospel truth (which turned out to be factually inaccurate) while criticising the bbc to be inaccurate and laughing at people believing everything they read.......... hmmmmmm

i claimed people were going to blame al qaeda - they did, and so did the MSM.

i did not blame isreal, but asked the question and added to "that theory" with sources - that you say were inaccurate - how were they? There are many now claming he was that "anonymous blogger." We just do not know for sure one way or the other whether he was or not.

the bbc is proven to be inaccurate and to be state line. i used to work with an iraqi and in 91 we would read the invasion related bbc and al jazeera web sites to each other at lunch and laugh at the outrageous differences.

On 10 Sept 01 Ahmad Shah Massoud (a strong Anti Taliban and Anti AQ, Northern Alliance leader) was killed in Afghanistan by AQ as an appeasement to the Taliban for what was about to happen. AQ Senior Leadership knew that the wrath of the west would be coming its way in a days time so needed to 'give a little' to the Taliban, hence Massoud's assassination. The problem was they used two 'clean' suicide bombers on stolen Belgium passports. This was a little OTT and a waste of resources for such an assassination. This was part of the reason people (Govts) that day looked at a wider picture, saw there was an odd event and tied to the two correctly together very quickly.

It is extremely hard to kill 87 people with a rifle let alone a handgun. You would expect to be no more than 25meters away to hit a small, moving target with a pistol with a lethal shot. It is also likely that it would take a trained shot upto 4 or 5 rounds to get a fatal round on a moving target with a pistol. With a rifle it is easier to get a fatal shot, however, the rounds are heavier, the weapon system more cumbersome and requires more training to get a aimed shot off. The vast amount of ammunition required, the requirement to constantly reload each weapon system and the magazines, the high numbers of deaths and no obvious kettling or channelling of the victims would lead me to suggest a second gunman or some form of support was needed. I may be wrong but this is my personal assessment.

Does everything have to be a f***ing conspiracy?

Mossad might* assisnate Iranian nuclear scientists, they probably don't massacre Norwegian children because that country was taking a slightly more flexible pro-Israel position.

*almost certainly did
