:bowdown:It would be fantastic to have Bobby back in the Blue and White ... holding up the ball for CMS to run onto. Think of the experience he would bring and maybe a few prem buddies he could coax down to the south coast. Murray / Zamora combo  - as potent a force as that would be - unthinkable.

You think we should be paying wages around £50k a week? Laughable. To think people here critisiced pompey for overspending and then going bust.....

I'm sure Zamora accepts that if he joins us or West Ham that he'll have to take a pay cut.

Im pretty certain that he knows he is not going to be going to the Euros and I think he knows this. His next club will also be his last. He is coming to the twilight of his career and wants to look to join a club where he will finish his career. That will be West Ham or Brighton.

He has categorically stated in the past that Palace is a no go as he respects BHA fans too much to sign for them.

All I'll say is having spoken to a close contact to him last night is that unless an offer comes in that he cannot refuse from a prem team then he'll be signing for us or West Ham either in January or in the Summer.

That is the crunch at some time but not for a couple of years I wouldnt think.

At which point he'll be 33. How many 33 year old internationals drop down a division. Get over it, there is zero chance of him coming back, unless we happen to get to the prem pretty quickly.

Interesting one this. The big thing in our favour is that BZ is not your average money-grabbing attention seeking Prem footballer. He's a nice, decent bloke with a big heart and a genuine love for BHA and the city. West Ham are his club as a fan, but as much as their fans suddenly fell in love with him when he got them promoted, they also gave him a torrid time running up to that. Some of the abuse he got was shocking, especially considering he was a local lad and fan. I doubt he's forgotten that. That's one of the many reasons I still have such a low regard for most WHU fans. The only thing I would actually lay money on is it not being Palace, snowballs in hell before that'd happen.

Personally I would not count anything as definate, who thought Murrey would go to CP? most on here at the time the news was breaking said "No Way" etc, I admit I was in the "No Way" camp as well, footballers today (and probably for many years gone by) are just not loyal to anything or anyone apart from money, and I am sure that if BZ was offered a deal he could not refuse, he would do just that, that said I very much doubt either CP or us even could offer a 30 year old international premiership player a deal he can't refuse at the moment, if I am wrong we can both go and throw snowballs at ach other in that warm place your on about

Massive difference between Murray and Zamora though. Murray was always a journeyman pro with no real bond with the club or city. Zamora has publicly stated he'd never play for Palace because of the respect he has for Brighton. He also still spends a fair chunk of his leisure time in and around the city. There's no way he could continue to do that if he signed for the scum. I rarely bet but really would lay good money against that ever happening.
