Looks like Bobby may get a decent run in the team, just before the transfer window opens again, next year !!
Tottenham striker Frederic Kanoute has been ruled out of action for two months.
The French star suffered the ankle injury in the thrilling win over Leicester City last weekend, but now he will be lucky to play again this year.
The news is a major blow to caretaker boss David Pleat, who seemed to be getting the best out of the former West Ham ace.
"It's disappointing news but hopefully the estimate of two months is a maximum," said Pleat.
"We will be working hard to reduce that time schedule and the boy is a quick healer which is encouraging.
"Obviously it's a real blow because Fredi's been in splendid goalscoring form but we have to look at it as an opportunity for other players to come in and show what they can do."
Kanoute himself is hopeful to be back for the Christmas period and said. "The timing is a blow because it was going well for me.
"But it could have been worse and I've just got to be patient."
