Just looked out my window and its a raging fire. Hope everyone is ok.

When I saw the smoke there were a couple of other boats nearby and heading towards it.

RNLI out of the marina, and two from Shoreham/worthing way were going full steam ahead. That is one mayday signal you wouldn't think twice about sending!!!!

Brighton lifeboat crew rescues two people from yacht fire From The Argus)
Two people were rescued from a stricken yacht this morning after it caught fire.
Solent Coastguard received a call from the boat, which was about half a mile of the west arm of Brighton Marina, at 7.31am.
Brighton lifeboat crew rescued the people from the seven-metre yacht. They were suffering from the cold but were uninjured.
The crew has remained next to the yacht to keep people clear of the fire.

Could be a petrol engine, fuel line or tank leak, or gas stove with a leak. Starting the engine could cause either to ignite.
