I spotted a flier from the BNP championing Enoch Powell and the Rivers of Blood speech.

I love the way they latch onto various prominent figures, normally those that have departed and can't distance themselves.

I reckon, the average BNP voter won't have heard of Enoch Powell. The closest they get would be "Enoch me out, but I came round and knocked him out".

Enoch Powell is the biggest hypocrite of right wing British politics.

Utterly pointless 'investigation'.

Seemed to just be using the buzz word BNP to get viewers to tune in without really having the material to make it worth watching.
I absolutely knew this was going to be the case which, along with the fact the BNP have no real relevance, is why I didn't watch it. The only thing the clowns at the BBC have succeeded in doing is giving them grounds for feeling persecuted.

Exactly. I watched the start, realised it was a complete no show as far as anything relevant was concerned, and switched over.

What next for the BBC 'investigation' team? Nazi sharks in porn shock?

Don't want to seem too old, but when I was young Pamorama was serious and high quality - now it is just rubbish.

I am a bit of a centre-left/social democrat myself but I am surprised the BNP hasn't made more headway in the current economic climate. Having said that the major parties are placing more of an emphasis on immigration, including Labour admitting the incorporation of the former eastern block countries in the EU wasn't manager properly.

Like the Green party, maybe the legacy of the BNP won't be massive electoral success but the adoption of their signature cause by the mainstream parties, albeit in a watered down form?

Agree with Simster and WJ, not the greatest investigation and just gives them cause for a 'persecution' defence.

Personally, I feel that if anyone needs ANOTHER reason not to vote BNP (ie in this case dodgy finances) they are missing the bigger point. You don't need another reason.

Two good reasons to vote BNP. To make the major parties sit up and take (more) notice of:
1. The massive immigration problem we have in this country.
2. The strong anti-Europe feeling in the UK.

They are not going to get into power and doubtful they will elect an MP, but voting for the furthest right party sends an excellent message. Look at the examples in France and elsewhere.

Doesn't UKIP get a lot of the anti European vote?

Fair points but I will never be voting for someone who had their picture taken with a leader of the KKK.

I am sorry but what kind of message does it send? Look at the example in France, where they have banned the veil? Yes lets send the message we're all racist.

We should ban it here as well.

Exactly. We definitely should. If muslim women want to wear the veil they can do so back in their own countries, not in the UK. In fact I very much doubt any muslim WANT to wear the veil ... forced to by their husbands, fathers or society more like.

What if they were born here though?

The veil is a cultural rather than religious garment BTW.
