Bill Turnbull has passed away.
A great broadcaster in my opinion.
I was lucky enough to meet him in Ruislip, when he did a talk on bee keeping.
Lovely chap.

That's really sad, always seemed like a top bloke

He was one of my favourite BBC Breakfast presenters. He stood down when he first got cancer, but managed to fight on for quite a bit longer.

Hove actually
Goodness, what a loss. Devoted Wycombe Wanderers supporter and always gave them a mention. RIP Bill

Oh, that is sad. I liked him very much. A mix of old school standards and an understanding character. Very sad indeed.

One of the very rare occasions that i have actually met a subject of an RIP thread .
Bumped into him when he was appearing on strictly and he was charming , chatty and very amiable . A lovely bloke in fact .
Goodbye Bill and thanks for the memories .

Brighton factually.....
R.I.P Bill, always genuine, interesting, one of the few good eggs on the BBC and always had a twinkle in his eye when talking about Wycombe Wanderers.

RIP to a great TV presenter - always seemed natural and was able to convey both serious news and the light-hearted stuff with equal expertise. Just saw a clip of him linking to the attractive weather woman on BBC Breakfast whose name escapes me and referring to her tightly packed isobars - Wogan like innuendo, harmless yet amusing. RIP Bill T
