Chris Greatwich is a Sussex lad and was on Brighton's books for years and played for the youth side that lost to eventual winners Aston Villa in 2002. Wilkins released him in 2003 and he went to the States to study and play football. He's had spells here, playing for Lewes and Bognor but is now back in the States. He's big mates with lot of the ex youth teamers (the Wilkins babes!) especially Adam El Abd.

Chris is half Philipino and the highs of his career to date are with the Philipines, who pulled off a major shock in the Asia Cup, beating defending Champions Vietnam (they were HUGE underdogs, 18-1 to win the game!) with Chris scoring one of the goals.

Anyway, tomorrow, the Phillipines play LA Galaxy as they look to get the last out of the cash cow that is David Beckham. Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan will also be playing. What a game to play in! Good luck Chris!

I played in college with his brother Simon, who is also very talented and had the pleasure of playing a kick around with him

Very good player, jaw dropping, which begs the question as to how good pro's are

I actually played footie with his dad (which makes me feel ancient thinking about it...)

Knew all three of the boys when they were growing up and you could tell from an early age they had some talent

Always thought one of them would and could have made it over here and shame they had to travel abroad

All 3 boys a credit to their parents
Good luck for tomorrow

Good luck for tomorrow

(wonder if it may be on ESPN?)

Haven't seen him in a long time but went to primary and secondary school with him. Was always a good player- good luck Chris.
