Three fights of note tonight, and here are my predictions:

Oisin Fagan vs. Amir Khan - Fagan is decent enough, but I expect Khan to win fairly comfortably. It's not a fight where I expect to learn anything about Khan that we don't already know.

Prediction - Khan KO5 Fagan

Carl Froch vs. Jean Pascal (Vacant WBC World Super-Middleweight Title) - Froch is fighting in front of his own fans and has the chance to prove he's world class. I expect him to take the chance by mid-round stoppage.

Prediction - Froch KO8 Pascal

Manny Pacquiao vs. Oscar De La Hoya - They say that a good big one will always beat a good little one, and as awesome as Pacquiao is against men his own size, the fact that DLH is likely to be well over a stone heavier by the time the first bell rings will prove decisive IMO. Should be a good one to watch though.

Prediction - Oscar De La Hoya KO7 Manny Pacquiao

Anyone else care to offer their views?

maccrenelli is fighting for a world tittle

No he isn't.

That fight was called off when his first opponent pulled out injured and the sub couldn't make the weight. He's now fighting a non-title 10 rounder at heavyweight against Mathew Ellis.

Overated nothing night.

Fagan is a complete nothing rated no 238 in the world only ever fought more than 6 rounders twice and lost both of those. The other overated bum Khan will win easily and the fans will be duped into believing once again that he is good but will never be world champ once the little Mexicans get hold of him.

Oscar De La Hoye was one of the best but should stick to promoting but then again if he can have easy fight like tonight and then against Hatton who wouldnt want the money.

Carl Frosch is the only one of note fighting tonight and I hope that he wins also Audrey Harrison is dong another of his immitations of somebody who can box but in reality should be in strictly come dancing, is making another attempt tonight. Oh and he says he will be world champion next year, I dont know what at because it wont be boxing.

As a nation we are in a poor situatilon with boxing with a lot of overated nobodys our only 2 good ones are Calazaghie and Haye 1 the present World Lt Heavy Champ and the other the future World Heavyweight Champ

So the Manny Pacquiao is an easy fight is it. What makes you say that?

so de la hoya or Pacquaio are not fighters of any note???? a 6 weight world champion and the pound for pound number 1. I think this will be a great fight...hard one to call.....pacquaio is very quick and surprisngly powerfull for a lighter weight fighter....de la hoya has the skills and the excellant jab, plus a weight and height advantage......will be very interesting.

ODLH wouldnt have taken it if he didnt think it was an easy fight, he is a promoter so can pick and chose his fights and when he can earn a fortune by beating a past it Hatton he would have chosen that instead. I think that he will win by aKO by the 8th. ODLH was one of the worlds great but his best days are past. Should still be reasonable fight for the few rounds that it lasts.

Not saying ODLH wont win......but it will be far from an easy fight.......MP could well surprise a few people. I can normally pick a winner for most fights, or at least think i can but gonna sit on the fence for this one.

Macrinelli fight not gonna last long.

Well, I'm not sure you pick arguably the world's best pound for pound fighter if you want an easy fight. ODLH might well win because of his weight/reach advantage, but your total confidence is baffling.

And I agree, British boxing is in a right state. Apart from Calzaghe. And Froch. And Haye. And Hatton. And some of the other promising youngsters we have coming through. Apart from that though...

Should have retired after Mayweather but will still earn money fighting a lot of nobodys like his last fight. He will fight another bum, beat him and then be matched against a fading Oscar De La Hoye unless Mayweather wants another easy night with plenty of money and offers him a rematch.

Calazaghie very good but due to retire very soon.
Haye very good prospect for a world title.
Froch good at British and European not sure he will be good enough against many of the Yanks.
Hatton well past his best should have retired after Mayweather demolished him.

Nobody really knows what the youngsters will aspire to yet but no doubt they will be hyped up as being great like Amir Khan,

Amir Khans fight a complete mismatch, should not be allowed the Board of Control should look into and stop these mismatches that are pointless and do no good for the benefit of boxing and the supporting paying public
