1: How was it obvious?

2: If a thread titled 'Big announcement on Wednesday' comes up, I imagine most people on the board would read it presuming its true.

3: How could and why would we ask for a source when we have no idea what was supposed to be happening?!

No excuses for twats like this, its just pure attention seeking.

Isn't it time we used our common sense and judgement on the person who posts these types of thread?

I judged the thread as a spoof because who started the thread.

Am i unique or do people just get taken for a ride on the internet too easily?

Er...no. There was an announcement that the big announcement thread had nothing to announce other than it was announcing nothing. That announcement brought about annoyance.

I just wasted 15 mins searching the main board to find out what this important announcement was - 10 page thread, so must be VERY important.

Anyway, couldn't find it, so tried "search" - that couldn't find it neither.

Lo and behold, here it is in Childish Ramblings.
Can't belive it was a hoax, why would someone do such a thing?
