Appreciate we can't keep best players because our income is £150m plus against big boys £500m plus. Appreciate those in CL there is £25m plus. If say £100m of this is additional matchday income where does rest come from.? Is it sale of merchandise, Incredible sponsorship and advertising deals, Hospitality etc.

Look city's sponsorship deals? Their own companies paying over the odds to advertise. Also United whore themselves out to everyone. Official toast sponsor, official 3 inch screw sponsor, etc

and eventually it all comes out - eg Manchester City under investigation, Chelsea will be too.
And then they will get a three month transfer ban and a fine of £3m.
And like Leicester did, they will laugh in the face of adversity - and prove that cheating the system does actually pay very well

Not sure Leicester are laughing much this morning.

just playing devils advocate but don't clubs like Brighton piggy-back off the bigger clubs? i.e. the big boys bring the elite players and huge sponsors which promote and elevate the premier league as a whole which boosts the revenues for all clubs?

That’s true enough.
But it doesn’t make actually cheating the system right - Bloom never did it in the Championship which meant we were behind clubs like Derby and Leicester who did.

If FFP in its current form is audited properly with fair value related party sponsorship particularly rigorously policed, then every club is going to be affected by the rules. Even the biggest clubs will baulk at (over) paying for talent - unless that talent is universally recognised. If (IF) the purpose of FFP was levelling the competition- then the rules would be completely rewritten.

Back where they belong after nine years of cheating their way to the very top table.
Great 🎉🎉.
And some big loans to pay off too.
Love to see them straight down toLeague 2
Doesn’t it go back further? Wasn’t the Stadium acquired for pretty well nothing by shenanigans?

In yesterday's Times, it was reported that Haarland is earning £900,000 a week in salary and bonuses at Man City.

In what world can anyone compete for the best players without petro dollars?

There is a DULLARD on TV at the moment talking about this matter in relation to Luton Town, with the obligatory bookcase.

Wage bills and revenue are rarely comparable. Villa for example have the same income than us but choose to spend twice as much on wages.

As frustrating as it might be Villa's model is not sustainable when their revenue streams are much less stable than that of an established PL team.

One positive is that I suspect transfer fees received this summer are likely to be reinvested into the squad rather than used to balance our books.

Blimey, how much does he get from Marmite for sponsorship? I cannot actually believe that he eats it, being a DULLARD he would have dried plain toast at best.
The news reader was more impressed by his On Air sign although he either hung her out to dry or had been kicked off early for being a DULLARD as she was met with silence.
