Fairytale of New York - Pogues

Worst would be one of the crappy X-Factor/Pop-Idol/Fame Academy reject crap.

He had a second single, "You'll always find me in the kitchen at parties'' or some other terrible name like that. But I doubt it brings in much royalties anymore :lolol:

That was a great tune as well. Released before 'Cavalry'.

Cna anyone type the phonic lyrics to the debedebedum bit?

Worst - unquestionably Cliff's Lords Prayer. Mistletoe and Wine sucked a big mouthful of decidedly unholy cock as well.

In defence of McCartney: Wonderful Xmas Time's not exactly Yesterday or I Saw Her Standing There but I don't think it's THAT bad either in a field of what is generally shite. And Pipes Of Peace is a fine Xmas effort, IMHO.

Best - not many. Shaky brings back good memories. But I love Boney M, so Mary's Boy Child it is.

The pogues obviously  Greg Lake I believe in father christmas is an old favourite, slade, wizard - it just wouldn't be christmas without 'em; St Etienne I was born on christmas day - another great christmas track

Anything by Sir Cliff is guaranteed to flatten the festive spirit.

Bloody superb song that one.

My Faves are Last Christmas, Stay another day, Mula kalikimuka ( bing ) and what do you get a wookie for Christmas when he has already got a comb (C3PO and R2D2). Top Quality tune:bowdown:
Worst would have to be Mad World. Great tune but so not Christmas:nono:

Wherever The Mood Takes Me
My Faves are Last Christmas by Wham, The Christmas Song by Christina Aguilara and Driving home for Christmas by Chris Rea.

The worst are that Darkness song from last year or the year before and also that Avid Merrion - "proper crimbo".

P.S. Stay Another Day is a brilliant song but also has as much to do with Christmas as Mad World. i.e. it was released then.

I heard a reggae version of Silent Night on John Peels show around Christmas 1982, never heard it since but at the time it made the hairs stand up on my neck and I've remembered it ever since.

My worst is the beach boys one where they sing Christmas comes this time each year. No Shit.
