following on from the most pointless thread (and on a more positive note) what is the single thing that you consider to be the best thing that you have ever done - and why.

plucked up the courage to ask someone out (10 years later 3 kids and happy etc)
£1 accumulator bet
deciding to catch a later train...

it could be anything.

Mine - giving up my previous job to pursue a more fulfilling, if less well paid, job.

I have to say the birth of my son, and marrying my wife are both amazing and emotional experiences, unlikely to be matched.

but frivolity aside

racing my Car at Spa Francorchamps, and Dijon Prenois on the F1 Circuits

Playing for Brighton against Palarse in the original REMF match

Headlining gigs at THE 100 club, the Borderline, the Mean Fiddler and The (original) Concorde in 1997, recording and having released a few singles.

It was snowing at College and the mean principal came out to stop the snowball fight that had ensued. As I walked away from him I threw a snowball over my head and it hit him in the face.

Score!

I once carved a scale model of my video recorder out of wax, complete with remote control. It took nearly three months, and the feeling of achievement was glorious.
I almost managed to sell it to Cash Converters, but the supervisor came back from lunch and said no.

Giving up supporting Manchester United in 1980 to follow the Albion for 25 glorious years.....and counting.

Telling the headmaster of my son's school that he was way out of order when he tried to have my kid institutionalised at the age of 7, fighting the system and winning.

Hadn't he tried to massacre his teacher and classmates though in a frenzied machete attack ?

singing "happy birthday" at the bournemouth centenary game at half time was pretty embarrassing now, but at the time was great. also, winning a national music award with my string ensemble and getting to play at the royal albert hall as a result!

Jumping out of a plane from 10,000 ft over the Namibian desert. Skydiving is absolutely amazing fun. Topped a great day after quad biking in the dunes all morning.

Yes, but one of them claimed that Take That were better than Westlife, so they ASKED for it.
