Dark Star is a classic....very black humour like M.A.S.H in space..

Blade Runner very good too..

Silent Running is very deep and thought provoking..

2001 a Space oddity ! ..flatters to deceive..

But, the winner for me is Spaceball's ...Mel Brooks at his best !!

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

Quality film.

honourable mention to Howard The Duck. I mean a talking duck from outer space! It doesn't get much better than that.

Blade Runner - but only the Directors Cut - end to the original is poor, very poor

I thought both the Matrix fims were shite :)

THANK YOU

i totally agree(although there has been 3 of them not two:) )

without all the special effects these films would be NOTHING due to the total lack of a decent storyline

The original (cinema release) ending of BR has them disappearing into a scenery of beautiful clouds etc - the directors cut has a far darker ending in keeping with the rest of the film. For years the original ending bugged me -didn't really make sense - whereas the DC ending makes perfect sense.

do you mean 'Omega Man' - Charlton Heston v Zombies

or

'Andromeda Strain' - Scientists v rapidly mutating space virus - that doesn't affect old drunks with stomach ulcers?

Yep Andromeda my mistake, but now you mention it, the Omega man was a good cheesy sci-fi, creepy too I thought

Ah, the original's coming back to me now- havent they moved north or something, having left the city, to see out their days? Damn its been too long since i watched that film.

I wasnt keen on the narration coz i think it makes the 'twist', if you can call it that, too obvious.
