Sci Fi books (these kill any sci-fi film):
Player of games


Agree with that. Iain M Banks is a brilliant Sci Fi author. I have all his books and think they are superb, Player of game being the best closely followed by Consider phlebas. His none Sci Fi books are pretty good as well. Recently read WHIT, Espadair Street and just finished Dead air!

Another good author IMHO is Ben Bova - Mars and return to Mars are superb
