I'm very much with you on that. Some of their more reflective stuff was far better...................IMO.

The former, mainly on the grounds that Stipe didn't write it.

Although REM always split official credit equally 4 ways, this was predominantly a Bill Berry composition which, so far as I know, had nothing to do with Cobain's death.
