In no way a major fan of the band but the opening 4 to The Joshua Tree by U2 are a bit special

1."Where the Streets Have No Name"
2."I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For"
3."With or Without You"
4."Bullet the Blue Sky"

Faith No More - The Real Thing

1."From Out of Nowhere"
2."Epic"
3."Falling to Pieces"
4."Surprise! You're Dead!"

Both of those could be answers to a slightly different question as the records go massively downhill after the first 4.

Great shout on the FNM album- you are right, the tracks after the opening 4 are fairly mediocre.

'Rumours'? Eek - 'tis nowt but dross. If you want to hear an album that sparkles from beginning to end get 'Tigers' by Duffy Power, a gigantic British talent who sold no records in his lifetime but who left this fabulous album for our eternal enjoyment.

Gomez-Bring it on

1) Get Miles
2) Whippin' Picidilly
3) Make No Sound
4) 78 Stone Wobble
5) Tijuana Lady

Tijuana Lady - just had to put that on. What a tune. That crackly vinyl sounding starting, the strumming Spanish guitar, that opening melody, it's like a little magical cloud taking you on a drifting puff of musical wonderment. Remember when this was first released and being amazed they'd recorded in their garage. It really was not like anything else out there at the time.
