Been listening to Gomez's debut Bring It On and I reckon Get Miles, Whippin' Picidilly and Make No Sound take some beating..

Parklife's Boys and Girls, Tracy Jacks and End of a Century pretty close..

Nice to hear other posters personal favs

An obvious one, but U2 Joshua Tree: 1. With or Without You 2. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For 3. Where The Streets Have No Name

takes some beating for me...

Nice shout.

The first 3 tracks on () by Sigur Ros are majestic. I think they're called untitled 1, 2 and erm, 3 (although they've all got proper names now which i don't have to hand).

The 3 openers on Takk are fantastic also.

This just about counts because of the HAARP live album but Muse started many gigs in 2006/7 with

Knights of Cydonia
Hysteria
Supermassive Blackhole

which was pretty f**king incredible to witness live and not bad on the CD/DVD.

I'd agree with that. Would also suggest the utterly majestic Marquee Moon by Television, as the whole thing's jaw-droppingly good.

The start of 'Who's Next' takes some beating - or for an outside bet, take the first three tracks of Steve Miller 5 - such a happy sound it's impossible not to be lifted
